The Support Services Division consists of a variety of functions that support the general operation of the Police Department. Support functions include Law Enforcement Accreditation, Records, Public Information, Training, Personnel, Police Chaplains, School Resource / DARE  Officers, City Garage, and Quartermaster. Other responsibilities include the Police Explorer Post, Safety Link Program Citizen's Police Academy, Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, Honor Guard,  Student Internship Program and Neighborhood Crime Watch.

The Support Services Division manages 1 of only 11 Permanent Fitting Stations for Child Safety Seats in central Indiana and is dedicated to assisting parents or other care-givers with their proper installation. 

The Support Services Division consists of 20.5 employees. Major James Barlow, a veteran officer with over 20 years experience, commands the Division which also consists of 4 Lieutenants, 4 School Resource Officers, 1 patrol officer, 2 mechanics, and 9.5 other civilians.
