Carmel Small Business Network

Mayor Jim Brainard and the Carmel Small Business Network (CSBN).

As part of the City’s economic development initiative, CSBN encourages open communication between City officials and small business owners for the purpose of supporting and strengthening entrepreneurial ventures in Carmel.

"This network is providing a forum for owners to get to know one another and our city officials and staff better. This enables us to work together for the benefit of all," according to Mayor Brainard.

"Small business owners have told us that they have certain areas of concern and want to be kept informed about City activities. This small business network is assisting us in sharing information, addressing concerns, and keeping small business owners aware of our development plans. The City is committed to providing an environment in which they can thrive, " said Mayor Brainard.

Carmel Neighborhood Association Network (CNAN) is an avenue where presidents of homeowner associations meet to discuss issues of concern with City officials and staff and to be briefed on current events in the City. The network also allows homeowner association presidents to meet each other and learn how others address specific issues in their neighborhoods. It has been such a success that the City wanted to create a similar network for small businesses.

The CSBN is working closely with the Carmel Chamber of Commerce to avoid duplication of efforts and to complement their initiatives.

To become involved in the Carmel Small Business Network, please call Mayor Brainard’s office at 571-2495.
