Weather Impacts Weekend Events in Carmel

CARMEL, IN – The weather is affecting this weekend’s activities in Carmel’s Arts & Design District. Here are the updates:

Continuing:

IU Health North Second Saturday Gallery Walk will continue as planned, as much of the activities take place in the galleries (see below for details).  The scavenger hunt will begin from inside All Things Carmel, musicians will move inside Hoosier Salon, Indiana Artisan and Magdalena’s.

Moving Under Cover:

However, due to a forecast of heavy rains throughout the day, the hot glass activity will move from 2nd Avenue NW to the covered walkway from 2nd Avenue NW into Sophia Square. This walkway is between Scotty’s and Pad Thai restaurants. Registration is nearing a sell-out, but walk-ups will be accommodated if available. Glass forming will take place from 2 – 9 p.m. Please search Gallery Walk Glass Forming – September 2018 on www.Eventbrite.com  to register.

Postponed to Later Date:

The Chinese Mooncake Festival will be postponed to a later date due to the heavy rain forecast as this event was to take place outside. Watch for news of a rescheduled date soon.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make adjustments for the safety of all involved.
