One Center Green, Carmel

Join Mayor Jim Brainard and representatives from the Carmel Redevelopment Commission as they pay tribute to former CRC Director Les Olds with an engraved stone marker that will be placed outside of the Palladium.

Les Olds, an architect and former executive director of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, passed away after a tragic accident in May of 2019. Les was a key player in the redevelopment of Carmel’s central corridor and was particularly instrumental in working with Mayor Brainard on the vision of City Center, including the Palladium and Center for the Performing Arts. Les also helped transform the Old Town area into the beautiful Arts & Design District. He is being honored for his expertise and work in as an architect and in structuring public-private partnerships that enhanced both Carmel and Indianapolis.
