City of Carmel holds Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration

Carmel, IN - The City of Carmel is pleased to announce an Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday April 23, 2011 between noon and 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Wastewater Treatment Plant at the northeast corner of Hazel Dell Parkway and East 96th Street.

This free event will include tours of the wastewater treatment plant and informational displays and booths from various community environmental-based organizations and businesses. The Arbor Day Ceremony and tree planting demonstration will take place at 2 p.m.

Bags of Carmel Green (High Quality Organic Soil Conditioner) will be available free while supplies last (or bring your own five gallon bucket). The ever popular West Coast Tacos and The Dog Father will be there to satisfy your hunger!
