Connecting with Carmel – December 2006

We filmed the December show at Basket Case in Merchants Square.  Between interviews, we were even able to finish our holiday shopping!  As always, Jeff and Stephanie delivered Carmel’s latest news and upcoming events.  Interviews included the Mayor, Ron Carter, Councilor at Large and Dave Klingensmith, Director of the Carmel Street Department.  Joanne Kouris stopped by to tell us about “Holiday in the Arts District” and Nancy Heck showed us yet another useful feature on the city’s website.  Come join in the fun!

 

 
     
Connecting with Carmel – November 2006

The November show was filmed at Paint Pals Pottery & Arts in Clay Terrace.  Jeff and Stephanie delivered Carmel latest news and interviewed the Mayor, Rick Sharp, Councilor of District #1 and Don Gross from the Carmel Clay Historical Society.  Mark Westermeier, Director of the Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation Department, took us on a tour of the soon to be completed Monon Center at Central Park and Nancy Heck showed us another great feature on the city’s website.  You won’t want to miss it!

 

 
     
Connecting with Carmel – October 2006

Dooley O’Tooles was the location for the October Connecting with Carmel. The location provided a wonderful backdrop for our show with good food and great times as the hot rod cars starting arriving for “Hot Rod Wednesday” at Dooley’s. We talked about the Guilded Leaf Author’s Luncheon, a masquerade ball and the Seaside Institute.  We also visited with the Mayor, Ron Carter, Councilor At-Large and Mike Hollibaugh, Director of Community Services.  Jeff also interviewed Mayor and Mrs. Skellie from Long Beach, Mississippi and Nancy Heck shows us another great feature on the city’s website. Connecting with Carmel – September 2006

The September show was filmed at Woody’s Library Restaurant in the Arts & Design District.  It included interviews with the Mayor, Brian Mayor, Councilor of District #3 and Mike McBride, City Engineer.  Representatives from the Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce, International Arts Festival and Run 4 the Bone stopped by to fill us in on their upcoming events.  Jeff and Stephanie delivered Carmel’s latest news and Nancy Heck showed us another useful feature on the city’s website.  You won’t want to miss it!

 

 

 
     
Connecting with Carmel – August 2006

Jeff and Stephanie delivered Carmel’s latest and greatest news from the Main Street Barber Shop for the August Edition of Connecting with Carmel. This show included interviews with the Mayor, Doug Haney, City Attorney and Ron Carter, Councilor At-Large. Doreen Squire Ficara stopped by from the Arts Council to give us an update on the new mural going into the Arts & Design District and Nancy Heck showed us another great feature on the city’s website. Connecting with Carmel – July 2006

Nothing says summer like a “Big Ugly” burger at Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream. Jeff and Stephanie reported Carmel’s latest and greatest news from this popular restaurant on the Monon Trail. The July show included interviews with  Mayor Brainard, Rick Sharp, Councilor of District #1, Steve Engelking, Director of Administration and Aaron Stump from the Parks Department. Joanne Kouris and Wendy Farber also stopped by to share some of the exciting things happening in Carmel this summer. Nancy Heck shows us another great feature on the city’s website. Connecting with Carmel – June 2006

Filmed at Miran’s Café in the Arts & Design District, the June show talked a lot about summer activities, Carmelfest in particular. Committee members from the Freedom Ball committee and the Entertainment committee came on the show to share the plans for Carmel’s 4th of July celebration. Jeff and Stephanie also interviewed Mayor Brainard, Ron Carter, Councilor at Large and Mike Hollibaugh, Director of Community Services. Connecting with Carmel – May 2006

For the May show, Jeff and Stephanie explored Carmel’s booming Arts & Design District. Most of the show was filmed at Chaos on Main Street but they also covered an exciting groundbreaking happening in the district that day. The show included interviews with Mayor Brainard, Brian Mayor, Councilor of District #3 and Dave Klingensmith, Director of the Carmel Street Department. We also learned of some upcoming events in the community from Julie Criswell and Nick Kestner. Nancy Heck shows us another great feature on the city’s website. Connecting with Carmel - April 2006

Filmed at Carmel High School, the April show was brought back a lot of memories.  We explored Carmel High School’s beautiful facilities and even ate school lunch!  This show included interviews with Mayor Brainard, Joe Griffiths, Councilor of District #4, Chief Fogarty from the Police Department and Lauren Walters from the Parks Department.  Nancy Heck shows us another great feature on the city’s website, and Jeff and Stephanie delivered Carmel’s latest news and upcoming events.  A representative from the Policeman’s Ball also stopped by to tell us about the event.  Go ahead…skip class and tune in!

Filmed at Broccoli Bill's Grocery Store in the Village of West Clay, the March show had a lot of fresh topics. It included interviews with Mayor Brainard, Judge Bardach, Rick Sharp, Councilor of District #1, John Duffy, Director of Utilities, and Lauren Walters, Parks Department Volunteer Coordinator. Nancy Heck, Director of Community Relations, showed us another useful feature on the City's website and as always, Jeff and Stephanie came through with Carmel's latest news and upcoming events. The February show was filmed at The Mystery Company, a local bookstore specializing in mystery novels.  Featuring interviews with the Mayor, Rick Sharp, Councilor of District #1, Mike McBride, City Engineer, Scott Brewer, City Forester and Lauren Walters, Parks Department Volunteer Coordinator, this show had many interesting topics.  As always, Jeff Worrell and Stephanie Lewis presented Carmel’s latest news and upcoming events and Nancy Heck showed us another great feature on the city’s website.  Suzann DeLay and Kathy Christie stopped by from the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble to tell us about their upcoming performances and Beth Smietana, Communications Director for the library gave us the scoop on Carmel Clay Reads, the community-wide reading program.  This show had a lot of useful information.  Tune in and check it out!

 


     
Connecting with Carmel - January 2006

Hosts, Jeff Worrell and Stephanie Lewis kicked off the New Year at Artisan Masterpiece in Merchant’s Square.  While presenting Carmel’s latest news and upcoming events, they even found time to create some artwork.  The January show featured interviews with the Mayor, Joe Griffiths, Councilor of District #4, Marvin Stewart, Director of Communications and Lauren Walters, Parks Department Volunteer Coordinator.  Nancy Heck, Director of Community Relations, showed us another feature on the website and Brad Little stopped by from the Carmel Dad’s Club to discuss their upcoming programs.  Tune in and check out this video masterpiece!
