The City of Carmel has been recognized for excellence in many aspects of its planning, development, implementation and service. Carmel's work force is well trained and dedicated to providing the highest level of service to residents, businesses and visitors to our community. This work has been recognized by various organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
Provided below a list of some of those awards.

Mayor Jim Brainard

  • 2013 - Joseph P. Riley Jr. Award – Honored at the 2013 International Making Cities Livable Conference with this award given to Mayor Jim Brainard for his inspirational leadership in creating a vibrant, multi-functional heart for the City of Carmel, Indiana through the development of City Center and the Arts & Design District including the Center for the Performing Arts.
