Identity TheftIdentity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the country. The Federal Trade Commission figures show 161, 836 identity theft cases were reported nationally in 2002 and nearly 215,000 in 2003. In Indiana, 2612 cases were reported in 2002 and 3360 were reported in 2003.
