Carmel Plan Commission
To ensure that the community continues to be a desirable place to live and work, the City and Township created the Plan Commission to control growth and development. The commission assists the City and Township Council in developing and updating City Ordinances, the Comprehensive Plan, the Thoroughfare Plan and other long-range plans for housing, transportation, neighborhood development, parks, commercial development and public facilities.

The Plan Commission is a recommending body, so it welcomes testimony from the concerned public.
