The Carmel City Court is a court of limited jurisdiction, where traffic infractions, 
ordinance violations and criminal misdemeanor cases are heard and decided.

Traffic Violations Bureau
Persons charged with traffic infractions and ordinance violations may be permitted to plead guilty and pay a fine through the Court's Traffic Violations Bureau, without appearing in court. To determine if you are eligible, please click one of the following links based on whether your ticket is for a traffic, truck, or DNR violation.

 Court Hours:

Trials are held on Mondays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.

Guilty plea, omnibus, compliance and probation violation hearings are held on Mondays at 1:30 p.m.

Initial hearings on criminal misdemeanor cases are held on Wednesdays at 8:45 a.m.

Initial hearings on infraction and ordinance violation cases are held on Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
