City of Carmel’s Veterans Day Ceremony

(Winning Posters - Winning Essays and much more)

WHAT:   Carmel’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony.

WHERE:  Steven Couts Fire Headquarters at Civic Square. Parking is available on the north side of the station, around the fountain and along Veterans Way.

WHEN:   Noon on Friday, November 9, 2007       

WHO:    Mayor Jim Brainard and members of local veterans’ organizations have worked together to put on this community event in honor of our veterans.  Participants include Mayor Jim Brainard, Major General Richard D. Chegar, United States Army Reserve (Retired), as keynote speaker, Carmel VFW/American Legion Honor Guard, the Carmel Elementary School choir, and the Actors Theatre of Indiana’s own “Andrews Sisters.”  The city-wide “Honoring All Who Served” poster and essay contest winners will also be recognized.  The student essay contest winners will read their compositions at the ceremony.

        The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
