    Rebecca Chen is back home with her family after being gone for over three days.

    On Thursday, January 12, 2012 at approximately 12:40am Carmel Police received a report of a carjacking in the Marsh parking lot at 2140 E. 116th Street.

    Carmel Police Catch Thieves
    On Monday, November 14, 2011 at approximately 11:30am Carmel Police Officers responded to a theft in progress call from the Penn Station restaurant at 841 S. Rangeline Rd. The victim advised that he had several items stolen from his truck. One of the items was a loaded handgun. With information obtained from the victim and witnesses, officers were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle in the 1400 block of E. 106th Street. As officers approached the house, two subjects exited the rear door. After a brief foot pursuit, officers were able to place both subjects in custody without incident.
  • Carmel Police Business Watch Program
    The Carmel Police Department is joining up with area businesses in a new crime prevention initiative. Business Watch specifically focuses upon the business community in the City of Carmel in order to reduce and prevent crime. The City of Carmel is actively recruiting business owners to join in this useful and worthwhile partnership – at no cost or obligation.
  • Attempted Catalytic Converter Theft
    On November 9, 2011 at approximately 10:30am, Carmel Police Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the Carmel High School stadium parking lot. A CHS student, who was going home sick, observed two suspicious males in a silver Jeep. The student phoned his mother, who then called police.
