Please Note: Road Closure
Tonight there will be another night of temporary lane restrictions on Main Street between 2nd Ave N.W. and Range Line Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Crews will be cutting bad sections of the road out of Main Street to prepare for repaving.
Weather permitting, Thursday night, May 15th should be the last night of restrictions.

Please Note:
The north-bound lane of Oak Ridge Road between Bennett Road and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church will be temporarily closed on Thursday, May 16th between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to accommodate the replacement of the tornado siren in that area.
These hours have been coordinated so there is no interference with Our Lady of Mount Carmel student drop off and pick up times.
Thank you for your patience while this very important public safety device is replaced.

Illinois Street Extension:
Illinois Street will be extended from its existing terminus just south of 116th Street, due south through the Thomson Office Park to its intersection with Springmill Road just north of I-465. The new roadway will be two lanes in each direction with a curbed grass median, protected left turn lanes, and underground storm sewers. The project will also include new roundabouts where Illinois Street intersects with 111th Street, 106th Street and Springmill Road. Additionally, this project will construct modifications to the existing 116th Street & Springmill Road roundabout in order to convert it to a two-lane roundabout.
The project is currently underway and is being constructed in phases from north to south with the earliest work starting just south of 116th Street. The construction at each of the proposed and existing roundabout locations will require brief closures. These closures will be phased so that they do not occur simultaneously, and should only last about 45 days each. More specific information regarding the dates of each closure will be shared as it is known.
The northern half of the project (111th Street to 116th Street) is expected to be opened to traffic in the spring of 2013. The southern half of the project (106th Street to Springmill Road) will likely open late fall of 2013.
