Welcome to the Carmel – Clay 911
Communications Center web pages.
Carmel-Clay Communications works 24x7
“around-the-clock” in a diligent effort
to provide the citizens of Carmel and
Clay Township with the most responsive
and highest standard of 911 emergency
service possible. Twenty-seven (27)
full-time dispatchers and two (2)
part-time employees work in partnership
with the Carmel Police and Fire
Departments to ensure that the
environment in which we all live, work,
and play remains safe and secure.
As you browse this web-site, you will
find that the Carmel-Clay Communications
Center offers more than just 911
emergency services. It is responsible
for many tasks including; the city’s
voicemail and telephone system; Mobile
Incident Command Vehicle operation and
maintenance; Police and Fire mobile data
communications; Wireless phones and
devices; Tornado Siren operation and
maintenance; Fiber and associated system
wiring; issuance of Alarm Permits; and,
911 Street Addressing.
