The Carmel Clay
Communications Center is
scheduled for an on-site
assessment as part of a
program to achieve
accreditation by verifying
that they meet professional
standards.
Administered by the
Commission for Law
Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA),
the accreditation program
requires agencies to comply
with state of the art
standards in four basic
areas; policy and
procedures, administration,
operations and support
services.
Department
employees and the public are
invited to offer comments by
calling 317-571-2591 on
Monday, April 28, 2008
between the hours of 1:00 pm
and 3:00 pm. Comments will
be taken by the Assessment
Team.
Telephone comments are
limited to 10 minutes and
must address the
Department’s ability to
comply with CALEA’s
standards. A copy of those
standards may be viewed at
the Carmel Clay
Communications Center.
