A Message from the Chief

Welcome to the Carmel Fire Department. The following pages represent the activities of 159 professional firefighters and a civilian staff of 10 dedicated individuals. They take pride in their duties and their commitment to the people of Carmel and Hamilton County.

The Carmel Fire Department web pages are intended to be informative as well as entertaining. We encourage you to look through the entire site including our activities page and some of our interesting programs for our schools and our public.

Our role of course is emergencies, but we would much rather answer your questions before something becomes immediate. Please call us at (317) 571 – 2600 with questions, comments or concerns. Firefighters are well trained to answer your emergency. Take comfort in the fact they are there every minute, everyday to make you safe.
