
Carmel Water Department Water Treatment The City of Carmel Water Treatment plant is responsible for ensuring that the city's ground water is filtered, softened and disinfected before it leaves the treatment plant. Carmel's treatment Plant #5 can treat and produce 10 million a day. The other three plants combined can produce 8 million per day. Carmel is currently expanding plant #5, adding 4 million more gallons of water purification per day. Questions concerning water quality, water testing, water pressure, water leaks, backflow prevention and utility specifications for new water installations, please contact this office.
