Carmel Fire Department plans 2 more COVID-19 booths
Info booths at Rackz BBQ, Mitchell’s Fish Market

Carmel, IN – The Carmel Fire Department has scheduled two more COVID-19 information booths to hand out information on virus prevention and safety and answer questions from the public. They will be offering free bottles of hand sanitizer and disposable face masks while supplies last. The type of masks being distributed are similar to what you would find in a doctor’s office waiting room.

CFD will be in the parking lot area of Rackz BBQ located at 5790 E. Main Street in Carmel on Thursday June 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The booth will be set up outside in the grassy, mulched area in the parking lot.

CFD will also be at Mitchell’s Fish Market at 14311 Clay Terrace Boulevard in Carmel on Friday June 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The booth will be set up outside the entrance.

During the event, representatives from CFD will be wearing masks and keeping to the physical distancing guidance to avoid possible spread of the virus. The event is open to the public and visitors should also wear masks and maintain proper distance from others as they approach the booth.

The goal of this booth is to provide the community with COVID-19 information, including handouts showing the City of Carmel and Carmel Fire Department “Best Practices” for dealing with the virus.

Plans call for additional booths at other locations in the upcoming weeks.
Those details will be announced as soon as possible.
