Carmel, IN – Conquer the CAB, Bike Carmel’s “Slow Roll Ride” presented by IU Health North, is looking a little different than in past years. In 2020, we were all set to help you Conquer the Carmel Access Bikeway (CAB) routes in Carmel by riding them together. But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have changed the ride to make it a self-guided event that can be done with family members and friends while observing safe physical distancing.

There are five CAB routes of varying distances. So far, we have completed the City Center Loop (6.8 miles) in May, the White River Loop (7.2 miles) in June, the West Loop (9.7 miles) in July, the Village Loop in August (12.5 miles) and this month, we will bump up the distance a bit and conquer the Cool Creek Loop (13.9 miles). Beginning Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, September 20, you can explore the Cool Creek Loop and take a photo at any of the various routing signs and post it to the Facebook event.

Please see the event Facebook page for a list of missing route signs due to repaving in the area and the link to the digital Map My Ride route map.

One rider selected from the pictures posted will be awarded a $50 gift card to a local Carmel business selected from the pictures posted.

Here are links to each of the five CAB routes along with printable maps and queue sheets.

The City of Carmel, Bike Carmel and IU Health North Hospital are looking forward to another exciting year of bicycling in the community.
More information can be found on the Bike Carmel Facebook page or by emailing
Remember to keep safe physical distancing in mind, wear a mask when appropriate and keep the rubber side down.
